At the beginning of this course
(Problems, English 485),
I thought I would be writing a novel.
This only turned out to be an idea.
I had taken writing courses before,
Better yet,
Courses on writing,
But I did not understand
What was meant by the
Fullness
Of a completed work:
Punctuation,
Not the correct, but the complete;
Meaning,
Not the correct, but the complete.

Words are insignificant if not placed
Where they should be placed
In the dictionary,
But if they are significant
Where they are placed
In a place,
Then they are in the dictionary
Or should be.

Writing
A word, a phrase, a sentence, a paragraph
Is editing
A paragraph, a sentence, a phrase, a word
In any order.

Reading is writing is thinking is believing
Just as
"A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose."

Style is your own
When you study others
While studying yourself.
That is Living...
That is Learning...
That is Understanding--
LIFE.
